Glazier – On-Call
Location: Glasgow – Shields Depot & Haymarket Depot
Working Pattern: On-call nights and weekends
Call-Out Requirement: Must be able to attend within 3 hours
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Glazier / Window Installer to provide on-call support for a rail window replacement contract across Shields and Haymarket depots.
The role will involve attending the depot when required to carry out window removals, replacements and repairs on rail vehicles. Windows may be mechanically fitted or bonded/sealed, depending on the vehicle and repair required.
Key Requirements
- Previous glazing / window installation experience preferred but not essential
- Bonded glazing / adhesive sealing experience desirable
- Confident using appropriate hand and power tools
- Able to work safely and independently
- Available for night and weekend call-outs
- Able to attend either depot within the 3-hour call-out window
This would suit an experienced glazier looking for additional night and weekend work alongside their existing employment, working on a on-call basis.
