Yard Assistant / Plant Operator Chatham
A leading company in the Defence sector is recruiting for a Yard Assistant to support activities within the Yard and also operate and move machinery at their site in Chatham.
As Yard Assistant you will prepare equipment for demand, involving cleaning of the equipment and preparing all documentation ready for handover. Assisting in the upkeep and cleanliness of the area and delivering and collection of plant equipment and parts as required. You will work to local team goals and KPI’s.
To be considered for the role you will have;
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience working as a Yard Assistant or similar role
- It would be great if you have experience moving Plant machinery such as, Diggers, Dozers etc however training will be provided
- You will have good PC literacy and able to record data on relevant systems
They offer salary between £27,513 - £28,659 plus annual bonus (which is split quarterly and equates to £1,500 per year) . Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours). A contributory Pension Scheme, 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays), Healthcare, and other great benefits are offered.
