Procurement Manager Crewe or Stratford upon Avon
Are you an experienced Procurement Manager looking for a new challenge? We have a great opportunity to join a successful family run business in the Rail sector to support with continued growth and change.
The role can either be based from Crewe or Stratford upon Avon.
As Procurement Manager you will support project requirements and oversee purchasing activities for heavy maintenance, overhaul, modifications relating to their fleet and property portfolio. You will be involved in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, long term cost optimisation, building strong relationships with key vendors whilst ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Some key responsibilities include;
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and timelines
- Identify and qualify new suppliers for materials, components and services
- Support in managing relationships with new and key suppliers as well as monitoring performance and conducting regular audits
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers ensuring terms align with the business requirements
- Work with the procurement team to manage supplier qualification.
What you will have;
- Proven experience in a procurement management role, preferably within the Rail Sector however other heavy engineering sectors will be considered
- Ideally you will have CIPS Certification or working towards
- You’ll have a strong procurement process and legal knowledge as well as good negotiation and contract management skills
- A strong communicator with stakeholder management skills
- Willing to travel to other UK sites when required
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established and growing business. The role offers salary circa £55,000 - £60,000 however potentially negotiable dependant on experience.
