Maintenance Team Leader

Electrical Maintenance Team Leader (Rolling stock)                                                           South London

Are you an experienced Maintenance Team Leader looking for a new challenge?  We have a number of Permanent opportunities based in South London working on a shift basis 4 on 4 off a mixture of days and nights.

As Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of traction units, components and equipment in accordance with specifications.   Reporting to the shift Production Manager you will provide support for the delivery of the product, allocation of work and completion of relevant documentation.

You will be involved in;

• Working to specifications and depot quality systems/work instructions
• You’ll Allocate work to staff and advise the production manager of additional work outside of the specifications
• Complete and check necessary documentation associated with work sheets etc
• Oversee rolling stock technical problems and impart knowledge to others where possible.
• You will ensure materials are available to carry out necessary tasks
• Liaise with Drivers/shunters to plan train movements
• Supervise and mentor assistants and apprentices and  provide on the job training where required

What you will need to have;

• You will have a Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance environment
• Strong maintenance background to include fault finding and diagnostics
• It would be highly desirable to have experience working in a rail environment, preferably with electric or diesel traction however similar industry experience will be considered
• You will be able to analyse and interpret data
