HVAC Technician

We are actively recruiting for a mobile HVAC Technician to predominantly cover requirements for one of the largest train operating companies.

What does the role involve?

To carry out Repair, Overhaul and Modifications at depots on EMU and DMU fleets, primarily HVAC.

· Remove, check, overhaul, install and align air conditioning compressors, high vacuum pumps and other air conditioning system components and service equipment.

· Check, repair, replace and install refrigeration and pneumatic piping and high-pressure lines. Perform silver soldering and brazing on high pressure lines and piping and normally works with refrigeration chemicals.

· Renew and refit sections of pipe or tubing.

· Fit and replace refrigerant system mechanical and electrical components

· Install wiring, rewire damaged or burned out circuits on heating, ventilating and refrigeration system

· Work from manuals and specifications

· Accomplish daily and other reports and records as required.

What we are looking for:

Minimum level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical discipline

A minimum of 2 years recent practical experience in a similar or comparable industry.

Shift:

Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
