The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining material flow from supply base to Production, through the management and direction of the Operational Purchasing and Supply Chain Team (OPSCT) in line with the programme delivery plans.

Working as a point of contact both internally and externally to resolve material issues and ensure plans are in place for mitigation, your remit will also include the management of the remote materials teams and the creation of a process for the mobilisation and decommissioning of materials support.

You will need to take ownership of the warranty return process and work with the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Department to ensure closure of all warranties in a timely manner.

Using your experience you will identify opportunity for improvements and initiate actions plans for improvement and cost savings and manage plans through the team and also work closely with the Strategic Purchasing Team (SPT) to ensure supplier development is ongoing and that agreement between the SPT and OPSCT for supplier selection is agreed.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

Inventory levels and management of IWD
Continual development of supply base to support the business
Reporting monthly KPI’s for Supply Chain & Warehouse including any corrective actions undertaken
Responsible for the integrity of Purchasing & Supply Chain data within SAP
Address and resolve performance issues with suppliers, using QCD Reviews.
Development of Operation Supply Chain team, including succession planning through 1-2-1’s
Ensure resource availability to support project requirements.
Introduce and develop best practice within the Dept
Support Head of Purchasing & Supply Chain in the implementation and execution of the Supply Chain Strategy
Work with the Strategic Purchasing Team (SPT) and provide support in the management of supplier performance issues and driving effective plans to mitigate issues when they arise
Support Bids team where required.
Instigate and manage Supply Chain initiatives and working with other functions in the support of their initiatives.

If you're
MCIPS / Logistics Qualified coupled with supplier management experience
In possession of proven negotiation skills coupled with operational purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
Able to use SAP as a Key User
Experienced in Supervisory and people management
Experienced of adapting to environments and taking initiatives when required
And have an open approach to challenges with a can fix attitude
