Role : Mechanical Fitters (WSP)

Shift :  Monday to Friday Days

Information on the Role:

• Fitment of Wheel Slip Protection (WSP) equipment
• Perform the component and sub-assembly removal
• Replacement and refit
• Using hand tools and calibrated equipment
• Working from schematics, functional testing

 Role Requirements: 

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline
• Previous experience of mechanical C4 type underframe work; component removal, replacement, refit would be an advantage.
• Ideally individuals should have previous demonstrable experience of installing Wheel Slip Protection (or similar train sub-systems) on passenger or freight trains in a T&RS depot environment.
