Our client has grown consistently by winning new and major projects as a result of service excellence, and we are now seeking on their behalf a Head of Operations specialising in Networking and Wi Fi Technology in the Transportation sector

The specific mix of talent we're looking for will include

  • Networking
  • Wi Fi
  • An ITIL Qualification
  • Some knowledge of the Transportation sector
  • The ability to travel regularly within the UK and internationally when required

The Head of Operations will manage and support customer expectations and ensure installation projects achieve a successful outcome in addition to:

  • Working with the local Operations Manager to manage the daily workload of Technical Account Managers and 1st line support staff
  • Using your initiative to autonomously make challenging decisions
  • Taking responsibility for the development and growth of the service offering
  • Ensuring all daily operational issues are managed to full completion
  • Deploying/upgrading a support ticketing software tool, and leading a team as it becomes ITIL certified
  • Negotiating Service Level Agreements and being part of a bid/sales process
  • Handling senior level conflict and stakeholder management, with a problem-solving attitude
  • Using your initiative to resolve exceptional support issues and using your judgement to make decisions based on the situation
  • Being the escalation point, with a track record of seeing things through to a complete and satisfactory conclusion
  • Holding a leadership approach to operations, showing a proven ability to successfully delegate
  • Ensuring that in advance of support services going live that all customer experience requirements are scoped and delivered in accordance with the support mobilisation process
  • Providing regular operational overview summaries and reports to the UK Operations Director
  • Working closely with other regional Operations Managers, and ensuring synchronicity in methodology and approach as the office continues to expand
