Track Designer
Our client has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the Nottingham Tram Extension Project (NET 2), which will provide two new lines and expand the city’s existing network by 17.5 km.
You will be required to : –
* Understand and analyse requirements in contractual technical documents
* Understand a horizontal and vertical railway alignment
* Under supervision prepare track alignment and track design documents
* Under supervision prepare the required track documents for construction team (drawings, listings.)
* Understand track installation principles so as to carry out proper design
* Prepare the track material quantities
* Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests
* Design mechanical assemblies for trackwork
* Design in detail track drainage for tramways
* Design typical and "for construction" track sections
Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
* Experience in trackwork/alignment.
* Preferably experience in tramways
* Preferably knowledge of track construction and maintenance
