Senior Consultant Engineer – Electrical
As the Senior Consultant Electrical Engineer you will provide leadership and expertise to individuals and project teams on all electrical engineering related projects in which you lead as project engineer. Ensuring compliance to internal governance, policies and processes and continuously improve performance and capability.
- Support the Commercial function in developing new areas of business and competence in accordance with the marketing strategy
- Support opportunities to develop further business with existing and new clients through leveraging of industry and product knowledge and relationships
- Develop proposals with project team that clearly articulate scope, approach, key deliverables, risk mitigation, costing, timing and staffing and contain a compelling value proposition
- Prepare work and cost breakdowns that are competitive but achievable
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of the section improvement strategy (e.g., decrease defects to below 1% within 6 months, achieve less than 3% unbilled rework in less than 3 months). This should also identify the required competences and resources for effective execution.
- Electrical Engineering design shall meet the customer requirements, be fit for purpose and ensure all relevant technical and safety standards are covered
- When supporting installation work all work should be checked to make sure it meets best practice for the design and it is safe for its application
- Testing and Commissioning must be conducted to a approved specification and in a safe manner, equipment were required shall be within calibration all staff assisting shall have competence fro the test to be conducted
Support to Section Head Electrical and Project Management with electrical engineering competence – to include training staff, coaching, mentoring, industry participation, personal performance management in line with the appraisal process
