Interface Engineers – E&M
Our client has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the Nottingham Tram Extension Project (NET 2), which will provide two new lines and expand the city’s existing network by 17.5 km.
You will be required to : –
* Establish processes and procedures to regulate the workflow in the interfaces between E&M sub-systems.
* Organise and chair meetings to define technically and contractually (share of works) the interfaces between E&M subsystems. Understand the design and heed the constraints of each subsystem to propose customized interfaces solutions.
* Produce and update the interfaces specifications between E&M sub-systems all along the design phase and till the construction
* Manage the CSD (Combined Service Drawings consolidating all subsystem layouts together). Address the conflicts between subsystems.
* Plan time-lines and work plans together with design teams and the construction.
* Liaise with the construction teams to ensure a proper implementation of the design on site and get as built feedback.
* Represent interests of the various entities to find the optimal solutions.
Key skills and requirements for the role include:-
* First degree in an electrical or electronic engineering discipline preferred or HND/ONC with relevant design and maintenance engineering experience.
* 3-5 years experience in an engineering or technical project role.
* Railway experience preferred
* Ability to address technical issues involving electro-mechanical disciplines
* Ability to work to specifications and standards
* Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
* Awareness of quality and safety management processes.
* Proficient in the use of MS Office software.
* Ability to use MS Project desirable.
* Experience of civil works/construction background
* Strong communication/facilitation skills
